The graduate program limits its seminar-style classes to 25 students, and the Undergraduate are limited to 55 students. The undergraduate and graduate curriculums are well-designed with emphasis on the quantitative skill training. We focuse on three areas: behavioral finance, financial engineering and financial econometrics. Sequences of courses are offered for each area which greatly deepens the depth of the courses.  Research and teaching on credit risk is gradually becoming a distinctive feature of this department.

The department has subscribed most important datasets, including CRSP, CompuStat, DataStream, Quote and Trade data of Taiwan Stock Exchange, Taiwan Corporate Credit Risk Index, AREMOS, Taiwan Economic Journal Stock dataset, etc. As for computer software, the university has purchased SAS, Matlab, SPSS, SYSTAB, etc.
